Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 1/12/2026

Autowate (“Autowate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the Autowate website, platform, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Overview & Role of Autowate
Autowate is a software platform that provides automated waitlist and messaging technology on behalf of appointment-based businesses (the “End Businesses”).

Autowate does not communicate with consumers on its own behalf. All SMS messages sent through the Autowate platform are sent on behalf of the End Business, which is the sender of record.

Consumers opt in directly to receive messages from the End Business (for example, Russell di Bari, DDS).

2. Information We Collect

A. Information Collected by End Businesses
End Businesses may collect and submit the following information to Autowate for the purpose of delivering messages:
• First and last name
• Phone number
• Appointment availability preferences
• Opt-in consent records
Autowate processes this information only to provide the Services on behalf of the End Business.

B. Information Collected by Autowate

Autowate may collect limited technical and administrative information, including:
• Account and contact information for business users
• Log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps)
• Usage data related to platform performance

3. How Information Is Used
Information is used solely to:
• Deliver SMS messages on behalf of End Businesses
• Support appointment waitlist and scheduling workflows
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Autowate does not use consumer phone numbers for marketing its own services.

4. SMS Consent & Messaging Data
• SMS consent is obtained by the End Business, not Autowate
• Phone numbers and SMS consent are used only to deliver messages for the End Business
• SMS consent and phone numbers are not sold, shared, leased, or transferred to third parties
• Consumers may opt out at any time by replying STOP or by contacting the End Business directly

5. Data Sharing
Autowate does not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes.
Data may be shared only with:
• Messaging service providers (e.g., carriers, SMS infrastructure providers) strictly to deliver messages
• Service providers supporting hosting, security, and infrastructure
• Authorities if required by law
All service providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

6. Data Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Services or as required by law. End Businesses may request deletion of their data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Data Security
Autowate uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Consumer Rights
Consumers should direct privacy-related requests (including access, correction, or deletion of their information) to the End Business that collected their information. End Businesses may contact Autowate for assistance in fulfilling such requests.

9. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. Autowate does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Autowate may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
